The Muskoka Trading Post isn’t just known in Gravenhurst, It’s known all over the world.
Built in 1952, the store has been visited by dignitaries including the Duchess of Kent and numerous actors who frequent the Muskoka area.
With a rustic motif, the Trading Post carries a variety of western wear and native products in addition to modern products at reasonable prices.
We are the third owners of the business, bought in 1978 and over the years expanded the store to include a Sub Hut and ice cream bar during the summer months. They also chose to remain open year-round, seven days a week during the summer, and shorter hours in the winter.
Located on Highway 11 South, just south of Gravenhurst, the “general store” offers men’s and ladies’ clothing, seasonal wear and giftware for all occasions.
Our products change and we carry new lines all the time. We are always trying to pick up something new and try to carry items that are not in all the local malls, although this is becoming harder to do every year.
We carry native-produced dream catchers and jewellery and other native artifices.
Leather jackets and vests, Australian hats and coasts, Fur hats and silver/turquoise jewellery are all available in one place for regular clientele, as well as tourists passing through.
Visit us on line or at our store anytime and we are sure you will be pleasantly surprised.
